WORLD ELEPHANT DAY TO BE CELEBRATED AT KUALA GANDAH ON 7.9.2019
We have been informed that the World Elephant Day will be celebrated at Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary on Saturday, 7th. September 2019.
If you and your family are free, you should go to Kuala Gandah Elephant Santuary and celebrate World Elepant Day with the elephants.

Normally, these elephants walk past between 10.30am.

IMAGE PHOTO EXHIBITION OF CHEWONG?
It will be good if photos of the CheWong community be exhibited in the space outside the resource room.
It can allow visitors to view the different images of this community.
A photo shoot for photographers can be organised and photos of great interest can be selected and framed up.
This exhibition will show the daily life within this small community. Before such an exhibition can be held, all necessary permission must be given by the owner of the premises.

A SET OF WIRELESS PROLINK ROUTER, WEBCAM AND SIMCARD
This Friday, a set of wireless router installed with Sim card for Internet access and a webcam will be installed in CheWong Resource Room.
This package is sponsored by KTW Agencies as a Community Service Project to the children of CheWong community.
A KancilBox with a USB drive will provide a suite of learning contents via Intranet.
With Internet access, the room can be monitored remotely from KL or from overseas as well. Kuala Gandah Elephant Santuary and CheWong community is no longer remote as it seems earlier due to technology.
The chain is to chain up the LED TV against pilferage.
In future, we can place a wireless webcam to view the elephants walk.

DOOR DESIGN COMPETITION?
The current wooden door installed at the CheWong Resource room is not painted yet.
A suggestion was made to ask the CheWong kids to draw up the design for the door.
A cash reward will be given for the best design awarded before it is painted on the door.

LIVE INTERNET STREAMING DURING YAB MINISTER XAVIER VISIT TO CHEWONG RESOURCE ROOM
When Minister YAB Dr. A Xavier, Water, land and natural resources minister, visited the CheWong Resource room yesterday, we managed to live stream this visit on the Internet.
We managed to test out a wireless router connected to a webcam.
The photos below were taken off a mobile phone in Hong Kong.
In the future, the webcam will be used as a security and monitoring device of the resource room from afar by using devices such as mobile phones, tablets and desktop.
An Intranet router will also be installed in the room to provide wireless digital content for learning to the CheWong youngsters when they use their XO laptops.

YAB Dr A XAVIER JAYAKUMAR, Minister of Water, Land and Natural Resources, visited Kuala Gandah Elephant Santuary and the CheWong Resource Centre today.
